3-Day Course
This course will give you a formal process for thinking about how to improve process safety management (PSM) effectiveness. We will teach fundamental principles for improving PSM performance and efficiency. The course includes a discussion of leading-edge industry practices in key PSM elements:
- Defining PSM effectiveness = f {performance; efficiency}
- Monitoring and assessing performance
- Ways to improve performance
- Sources of information about whether you are inefficient
- Identifying ways to become more efficient
- Tools/techniques to aid evaluation of and improvement in efficiency
- Determining how to improve efficiency
- Examples of effective industry PSM practices
How to assess the “health” of you PSM systems, not just for minimal compliance with legal requirements, but to determine the true effectiveness of your program. Share the insights gained from audits of dozens of organizations to help you identify important management system failures that may contribute to poor PSM performance. We will show how to develop practical goals for improving PSM effectiveness. Common roadblocks to reaping the full benefits of PSM will be reviewed.
